Marty Sharkey

Marty is currently Associate Vice President for Marketing & Communication at Occidental. In his current role, he oversees strategic communication for the College, working closely with faculty, students, and staff to help the College achieve its vision and mission. He has extensive strategy, marketing, and leadership experience via a 20-year career with Nestle and his own consulting firm. He is no stranger to higher education, having served in alumni admission roles for Duke University and as alumni president and guest lecturer for the Anderson School at UCLA. Marty holds a B.A. in economics and public policy from Duke and an MBA from UCLA.

Throughout his career, Marty has served as a trainer, coach, and mentor to many. Since coming to Occidental in June 2015, Marty has become fully engaged in campus life and enjoys working with students wherever possible. He's happy to have the opportunity to use his consulting experience to advise the members of Occidental Consulting Group.


CJ Faulwell

CJ Faulwell is an Associate at Angeles Investment Advisors, a firm that provides independent investment advice and customized total portfolio implementation services for institutional investors. In this role, he is primarily responsible for investment research within the real asset and private capital asset classes.

Before joining Angeles, CJ was a Senior Associate at RCLCO, a real estate consulting firm where he was responsible for advising institutional investors with their real estate investment strategy implementation, manager selection, and investment underwriting processes across all asset types and geographies. 

CJ Faulwell graduated Summa Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Occidental in 2014, where he earned a B.A. in Mathematics and Economics. In his free time, he enjoys writing and playing basketball.


Courtney Stricklin

Courtney is the Sr. Assistant Dean of Admission at Occidental College. Courtney has 10 years of experience in career development and is an Oxy alum herself. Her studies at Oxy were in studio art, which she continued at Otis College of Art & Design where she received her MFA. Courtney is a dual careerist, with a professional practice in art and music alongside her work in higher education.


Janet McIntyre

Janet McIntyre has extensive experience as a certified coach and a consultant to nonprofit organizations. As the Vice President of Programs and Training at Executive Service Corps of Southern California, she is responsible for leading training institutes and custom cohort projects for nonprofit organizations. She also coaches nonprofit leaders and provides organizational development consulting to nonprofits through her own consulting practice. Her work builds on a deep history in the nonprofit sector in Los Angeles for nearly 20 years, in roles such as executive director of the Hollywood Arts Council and development director of Classical KUSC Public Radio. 

Janet earned her Executive Master of Leadership with an emphasis in nonprofit management from USC’s Price School of Public Policy. Her Bachelor of Arts in Public Policy with honors is from Occidental College where she served as a member of the Board of Trustees. She earned her coaching certification from the Coaches Training Institute.
